Mother Nature has a significant impact on our outdoor adventures, so we encourage you to approach each trip with a positive attitude and a "go with the flow" mindset. If this feels unreasonable to you, we kindly ask that you reconsider registering for our events. Weather can be unpredictable, affecting activities like hiking, hunting, and fishing, and our top priority is always your safety. For instance, if your trip is focused on duck hunting but our guide believes a goose hunt is more feasible, we will follow their expert recommendation. If this kind of flexibility is not something you're comfortable with, we encourage you to think twice about joining us. We expect all participants to maintain a positive attitude, regardless of the circumstances. Many of our trips have faced changes, cancellations, or rescheduling, yet the understanding and adaptability of the group have made all the difference that still allows for an incredible experience! We take pride in creating fun experiences, even in challenging situations. Please be aware that our trips may involve sharing accommodations with others, unpredictable weather that could impact planned activities, limited bathroom facilities for larger groups, and the possibility of not harvesting the specific animal you hoped for. EXPECTATIONS + NO DRAMA

We’re thrilled to announce a new booking and payment system aimed at enhancing your experience! Starting October 1, 2024, all trip registrations will be processed through WeTravel. Once you register, you’ll receive a confirmation email via the WeTravel platform. Your trip coordinator will then reach out with detailed information about your adventure and schedule two virtual video meetings for all trip attendees. The coordinator will share their email and other contact information with you at their discretion, so please respect their boundaries and contact them only through the provided information. A quick reminder: personal social media profiles are not the best way to reach out to your coordinator. During the virtual meetings, hosted on Google Meet, you’ll discuss important details such as packing lists, travel plans, and more. This was my third trip for the ice fishing with Her Wilderness and I 100% recommend! The guides are so helpful and provide great advice to improve your fishing experience. The trip coordinator is amazing, has everything prepared from food to lodging! She makes sure that every single person is taken care of, and really focuses on those that have never been ice fishing before and assists the guides! 

The Apostle Island kayak trip was so fun and a great way to hear about other women trips and adventures. This was my first trip. Thank you Kendall and Her Wilderness!

The facility, owners and staff were on point with everything! They were welcoming,  informative and ready for some good safe fun!

We had a great group of flexible girls who probably could've used another couple days to have more training and fun. Maybe during cooler weather though next time ;)

Sniper Training Weekend

Kayaking at night was cool to see a sunken ship and the caves. I wasn’t expecting to be that close to the ship. It would have been nice to be able to see a different area of the islands - do a different kayak trip for the daytime. Everyone was friendly and helpful. It was fun getting to know everyone while on the water and playing games in the cabin! Great trip! 

Fishing was fabulous!  Enjoyed getting to know new people.  Looking forward to another fishing trip!

This trip was a dream come true! Kenzie from Her Wilderness was more than I could have imagined! She put the girls of the group first before herself! It was very welcoming and comforting! A breath of fresh air!  there was never a dull moment from the food to the fishing the scenery! I went in having no expectations and I left with a heart full of new friendships and experiences! How to put this trip into words… what an experience! This trip was my fourth Herwildness trip. I love that I met another group of amazing women who all have similar interests. I formed new friendships that will last a lifetime. The fishing on this trip is unreal; one day, take a trip going down the river. Taking a float plane to an isolated lake to bear view and fish is an awe-inspiring experience—and lastly, Fishing for Halibut out on the Cook Inlet. Kenzie does a fantastic job as the coordinator for this trip. You can see that she is very passionate about sharing her love for Alaska with others. She has built great relationships with all the Guides she uses on these trips, and they roll out the Red Carpet for everyone. Thank you, Kenzie, for the fun Adventure! I will surely be back

Pictures and words really cant explain the once in a lifetime experience I had! I still cant wipe the smile off my face! 

I dont get to spend a lot of time fishing when I am home, so I was a little nervous about going after salmon and halibut using fishing techniques that were completely foreign to me. But as soon as I met the other women and we got on the water that was all gone everyone in our group and our guides were so encouraging, patient with teaching new skills and all around a great time! I was able to have an experience I probably will never get in my life; from riding in a float plane, catching a massive king salmon in a national park, catching unique fish on the ocean and having dozens of whales right off the boat. I never had to worry about anything, thanks to the detailed planing of everything including guides, food, lodging and general travel logistics by our wonderful coordinator Kenzie! 

I haven’t even unpacked my suitcase and I cant wait to sign up for my next Her Wilderness trip, now to just decide which one (or two) I will pick for 2026!

This was an amazing trip.  HerWilderness does an amazing job curating the best experiences.  From salmon fishing on the beautiful Kasilof River with top notch Chadwick’s Guide Service, to a scenic fly-in to the glacial waters of Crescent Lake in Lake Clark National Park for fishing and bear watching,  to Halibut fishing while being entertained by multiple pods of Orcas and Humpback whales….Alaska showed up on this trip!  Enjoying the trip with ladies from Washington to Maine and as far south as Oklahoma was icing on the cake.  The planning for the trip was well done  (with flexibility for a free day woven in) and the coordinator set clear expectations and prepped us well. Amazing trip.

Absolutely wonderful trip!  Straight Fins Fishing Guide Service gotcus on the FISH.  Her Wilderness did fantastic for hooking up with the guide service.  Toni Parnell as the trip coordinator was great!  She arranged a great AirBnB and provided great restaurant suggestions for dinner.  The guide service provided an absolutely wonderful fish fry on our last evening.

This was such a fun day! The event was well organized and you could truly tell there was so much thought put into the day. We were taken care of from the start with an initial email preparing us with what to expect, where to meet, and what to bring (even an extra heads up on the weather to expect for the day. I thought this was particularly thoughtful for those coming from out of town). Once at the event, we were greeted by the coordinator and met with the safety instructor who provided us with helpful tips and advice on having a fun and safe time on the course. Then we were paired up and sent out to our assigned stations so we would all finish around the same time. I was especially pleased to get some one-on-one coaching from a top-level instructor, this was such a bonus! After shooting there was a great time of fellowship and even prizes raffled off and goodie bags for everyone.

During the event, we made sure to ask every participant if they had experience with shooting clays and shotguns and at this specific everyone said they did! With that in mind we provided a safety talk and basic instructions to ensure everyone was comfortable.

That said, we recognize that there is always room for improvement, and we appreciate your constructive feedback. We had a great time participating in this event! 
The only downfall was the lack of structure, communication, and instruction upon arrival. This was advertised as a beginner friendly event, and I am very thankful we were not beginners. I do hope there are more events like this going forward, I just pray for more guidance & welcoming leader participation in the future. 

The trip was awesome! Everything was planned out and laid out every well for everyone to be on the same page. The community of women were super inviting and made my first trip super fun.  I was really nervous about the trip. Once I got there and meet everyone that all quickly faded away and soon became a trip that I will never forget. 

SOUTH DAKOTA WOMEN'S SNOW GOOSE HUNT WEEKEND

Despite some rough weather on our last day of hunting and low bird count overall I had an amazing time. The group did not let the elements or lack of birds dwindle their attitudes for the weekend. I couldn't have asked for a better group of girls and the guides were fantastic going out of their way to make our time fun and being helpful. This will definitely be a return trip for me!

Had a great time! Very well and organized and room for flexibility. Trip was fantastic, even going from 60s one day to 30s and rain/snow another. 

Had an amazing time, met a lot of great women and got to experience a new way of hunting! The atmosphere and being able to meet a bunch of new people was really cool and i feel like I’ve made some new friends even from the trip. Definitely looking forward to going again next year!

This was my second year on this trip and I loved it even more than the first time, the people, the location, the focus, all of it is perfect and really what I needed after a very hard 2024.

I wish this trip could be longer, feeling like everything is really just 1 day makes the day feel a little hectic, and while I was happy we were all at the Mayhew Inn downtown this year it still felt segregated to rooms instead of really pushing for people to meet in the common areas to get to know each other.

If this trip is offered again though, I will be first in line. 

MINNESOTA WINTER WELLNESS

Winter Wellness Weekend was just what I needed and was amazing! From the peaceful meditation and beautiful nature hikes to the hot sauna session followed by cold plunging in Lake Superior. We ended this weekend with some yoga, self reflection and new friendships. This was all lead by great leaders and very well organized throughout the whole weekend. Highly recommend Her Wilderness and the Winter Wellness Weekend!

Perfect Trip to get away and reset. This weekend was an adventure, lots of firsts for me, definitely grateful for the opportunity to attend and spend time with the Best group of Woman. 

This was the second time I have done this trip with HW and as always it exceeded expectations. Information, plans, and packing list were all detailed and thought out. We had a great group that was able to pivot when the weather interfered with our original plans. With a group this size everything still ran smoothly and everything was basically on time or ahead of schedule! This will ALWAYS be my repeat trip if I can make it!

I had an amazing time on this trip. From the lodging to the outfitter, everything was top tier! Always love to meet new girls that have the same interests and have the opportunity to share a new experience with them. Our coordinator, Lauren, did an outstanding job by making sure each day was well-planned and organized. This was my second year attending this trip and I cannot wait to hopefully be back next year! I think this is a great trip for beginners at hunting or a first time Her Wilderness trip! The outfitters treat you like family in the woods and back at their lodge. Extra points for a delicious home-cooked, true southern meal!!
